This section provides a list of recommended websites with a brief description of each site. Each site provides resources or information on the topic areas of the programme.

 

Drugs

Alcohol Concern is the national agency supporting alcohol misuse. They

would like to reduce the incidence and costs of alcohol-related harm and

to increase the range and quality of services available to people with

alcohol-related problems.

 

Alcohol Concern provides information and encourages debate on the wide

range of public policy issues affected by alcohol. Including public health,

housing, children and families, crime and licensing. They support specialist

and non-specialist service providers helping to tackle alcohol problems at

a local level, whilst also working to influence national alcohol policy.

Created by The Nemours Foundation's Centre for Children's Health Media,

Kids Health provides accurate, up-to-date, and jargon-free health

and parent sections each with their own design and age-appropriate content.

It includes why people bully with a survey to see whether or not they are bullies. It shows how people feel when they are bullied. It tells children what to do if they observe bullying incidents. There are short cartoons about bullying with follow up questions, which the class can watch and discuss, case studies and games.
